[ Arthur's normal reaction to a beautiful woman looking like she would like to punch him in the face would probably be some cheeky flirting, but he doesn't have time for that kind of shit right now.
In the last couple of months, everything he's ever cared about has been taken from him. Things he though were just fiction have become real enough to kick him right in the balls, and all because of this fucking sword that he can't even completely control even if supposedly he is the only one who is able to.
Now, he knows that his usual intimidation tactics won't be worth shit in a confrontation with a woman who could probably snap him like a twig if she felt like it, so he keeps his tone even and reasonably polite, even if the clear tension in... pretty much his whole body probably makes it perfectly clear that he is anything but calm at the moment. ]
Friends. Plural. And one of them is a kid.
[ He removes the sword belt that keeps Excalibur strapped to his back and drops it all with a heavy thunk on Jessica's desk. ]
My uncle wants this, and me, in exchange for them. You can probably figure out what the chances are of him actually following through with that if he gets what he wants, and that's why I need your help. If he kills me, he can control Excalibur. You might still have a decent chance of taking him down if that happens.
